Lightning's MultiCom Ethernet II is a desktop integrated firewall and VPN gateway for easy and secure internet access. An IPSec option for 20 tunnels is available.

The MultiCom Ethernet II firewall allows to connect your LAN to the public Internet or to the corporate Intranet in a secure and highly efficient way. Thanks to its 10 Mbits/s and 10/100 Mbits/s autosensing Ethernet interfaces, it can be interfaced to a xDSL or CATV modem for providing high speed access for the entire LAN.

The integrated firewall allows for IP packet filtering, NAT and PAT provides security masquerading all the addresses of your LAN behind the router address. Dynamic assignment of IP addresses is possible thanks to the integrated DHCP client and server. A Graphical User Interface (GUI) allows for easy configuration of the router while the Autoconfiguration tool provides an automatic configuration of the firewall.

The IPSec support option allows for Secure VPN support.
