The software release 2.6 provides, as a standard feature, a full packet-filter firewall for the IP and ICMP protocols. You can prevent the routing of selected packets, depending on their source and destination addresses and their source and destination ports, with optional logging via Syslog.

This enables you to avoid unneeded line openings, to reduce traffic and to add even more security to your network.
A few additional features include:

• Better D-channel display : the LED no longer turns red unless in error
  
• Better Ethernet display : the link status is now reported continuously on the LAN Access Center, Series IV .
  
• Longer ISDN history : now it keeps the last 100 calls
