If you cannot use the standard Add & Remove Software feature of the Window's Control panel then you will need to run the installation program from the original CD you installed it from. During the installation process choose the option to "Remove" an installation. After this you can install the new version successfully. This will remove the existing configuration to be sure it does not interfere with the new one.
For Macintosh users simply delete the folder where the old Configurator was installed.
For Linux users, go to the directory where you have the .deb or .rpm file and enter "dpkg -i config_3.1-1.deb" for Debian installations or "rpm -e config-3.1-1.i386.rpm" for RPM installations.
NOTE - you can always run the version of the Configurator that came on the latest CD directly from the CD (for Windows, Macintosh and Linux). This does not install any software onto your computer's hard disk. |
