In firmware 3.3 and higher you can simply go to the first page of the built-in webserver and it will show you the installed firmware version.

For earlier versions, use a web browser from your LAN and go to the built-in web server at... http://10.0.0.1/config/system/software/ where 10.0.0.1 is the IP address of the MultiCom Firewall. The Lightning-Linux version that you have installed is shown here.

And for all versions you can load the Configurator's Monitor program to see the installed firmware version.
