When the MultiCom Firewall is correctly connected the LAN, WAN and Power leds should be green (LAN/WAN will blink orange when traffic passes). If the LAN or WAN led is red then either;
  1. no device is connected to the Firewall
  2. the cable is incorrect or damaged
  3. the Ethernet device is not functioning correctly (modem, printer, computer...)
Please check that you are using the correct cable (crossed blue cable when connected directly to a computer or Ethernet device, straight gray cable when connected to a hub.)

To check if the Ethernet devices are functioning, verify that they are indeed turned on and check if its Ethernet led is green (most Ethernet devices will have a status light next to the Ethernet interface.)

The standard color changes are as below

LAN
Steady Green when link is up
Blinking Orange when traffic is passing
Blinking Red when packet collisions occur
Steady Red when link is down

WAN
Steady Green when link is up
Blinking Orange when traffic is passing
Blinking Red when packet collisions occur
Steady Red when link is down

First LED left of Power LED or Security LED
Green when SecureWall is ON
Orange when filtering is ON and SecureWall is OFF
Red when SecureWall and Filtering are OFF

Power
Steady Green when power is on
