The Configurator software will always think that you are offline unless you first connect to the MultiCom Firewall from the MAIN window.

You can still use the Configurator software in this state but you will not have access to any IPSec security keys and the button on the Configurator to Save As... will not work. Simply use the options from the menu bar or reconnect to the Firewall from the Main window of the Configuration software.

If you have opened a configuration file from your hard disk and then tried to load it to a Firewall, you should close the Configurator window first and then open the Firewall directly from the Main window.
