The accepted character for the username and password in the multicom 2.x release are:
- ASCII characters from 32 to 126, namely:

all the alphanumeric characters (not the accented characters) and the following special characters:
-> space ! " # $ % & ' ( ) * + , - . / : ; < = > ? @ [ \ ] ^_ ` { | } ~

The following characters must be escaped with a "\": #, space, \
