CatTools 2.0.3 for Windows has been released at http://www.kiwisyslog.com/. This has support for logging into the MultiCom Firewalls. You can either backup a configuration file or run a remote command. Other scripts are being built. Access is by telnet or SSH and you can schedule the activities by day, hour or minutes.

The free version supports
  • Up to 5 devices in the device database
  • Up to 5 scheduled activities
  • Up to 2 simultaneous TFTP sessions
  • Single threaded operation
The professional version supports up to 500 devices.

To make a MultiCom compatible device:
  1. make a new device
  2. for device type choose MultiCom.Firewall.General
  3. input the IP address & connection method (Telnet or SSH)
  4. in the "Passwords" tab enter the username & password and check "Initial login requires username/password"
  5. in the "Contact info" and/or "Extra info" tabs enter additional descriptive information.
