3.7 software & firmware for MultiCom SpeedSurf and Ethernet series
Please note that:
- Software is to be installed on your computer and allows you to configure your MultiCom Firewall or Router.
- Firmware is to be installed on your MultiCom Firewall or Router.
IMPORTANT IPSEC NOTE: Starting with firmware 3.4+ the IPSec feature is included in the firmware. A key is required to activate this option. Please contact your distributor if you want to purchase this key or upgrade from an older IPSec purchase (before release 3.4). Installing the firmware 3.7 will delete your existing IPSec software option from before firmware 3.4, you must request the new key from your distributor! Firmwares after 3.5 are not affected.
If you have firmware 3.5 or higher, you can just update your firmware to the latest version 3.x, without loosing your IPSec key and features.
Before updating your firmware...
- read carefully the update instructions provided in the corresponding firmware download folder.
- read the "3.x Firmware history" available from the "Support" menu.
- read the "3.x FAQ" for your firmware version, also available from the Support menu.
- download the same version of Configuration software as your firmware version.
Configurator 3.7 can handle units with older 3.x firmware releases, but older Configurators can not handle firmware release 3.7
Starting version 3.6, you can use timezone files, also available in the download zone, to let your MultiCom automaticaly handle summer/winter time transition at your location.
